This strontium-based glass ionomer restorative material is designed to provide strong radiopacity and reliable snap-set characteristics. Strontium mimics calcium in tooth structure, supporting the formation of strontium hydroxyapatite and fluoroapatite for internal remineralisation. In the presence of saliva, calcium ions diffuse into the material, creating a surface-strengthening effect. It offers strong adhesion to dentine and enamel and remains moisture-tolerant during placement. Good initial flow ensures optimal adaptation and bonding. The material is easy to manipulate and mould for fast placement. Significant fluoride release enhances caries protection. Excellent biocompatibility ensures safe and long-term clinical performance.
