Melitta AntiCalc Powder for Espresso Machines

Melitta AntiCalc Powder for Espresso Machines is a thorough descaler made for fully automatic coffee and espresso machines, using the concentrated power of citric acid to clear away limescale gently but effectively.

Each pack contains two 40g sachets, individually portioned to make dosing simple. The powder dissolves quickly in water and is odourless, unlike vinegar-based alternatives which can leave a strong smell behind. Because it’s made with natural acids, it’s also easily biodegradable.

Regular descaling matters more than people think. Limescale build-up can block the boiler and narrow the internal tubes, forcing the machine to work harder and use more energy to heat water. Melitta recommends descaling at least once a month, or after around 100 coffees, whichever comes first. Keeping on top of it helps the machine run efficiently and extends its working life.

Simply add the powder to the water tank as directed, then run the machine’s descaling programme. It’s suitable for a wide range of Melitta machines, including the Caffeo and Barista ranges.
